This site was developed by the University of Illinois in partnership with The Century Council and offers an online tool called the Blood Alcohol Educator so that you can create your very own drinking scenarios to see how it affects your blood alcohol concentration (BAC). You can re-create how you usually drink by choosing different kinds of drinks, drinking speeds, etc. It also offers you an education on how the same drinks affect people of different gender and weight. You can even see how food enters in to the equation as opposed to drinking on an empty stomach. This educational tool is available online in Shockwave format, or they even have a CD ROM that you can request. |
